The law and lacking of it.

By now, almost everyone has expressed their anger on the release of a rapist who pleaded guilty but set free by the Court of Appeal on the account of statutory rape. I am gonna call him a rapist and nothing less.

Although it was a consensual sex, the victim was a minor (still is!). Somehow some people believe because it was consensual, it does not matter whether the girl was a minor or not. Well, that is why the statutory rape law is in place. To protect young and usually naive girls. At the age of puberty and with the smell of freedom, there will be lapse of judgement that render unwise actions.

The lawyer representing the rapist is a man and the Court of Appeal were represented by three men. No surprise there. Yep, full of dicks.

I agree with Nuraina Samad, there is nothing wrong with our judicial system. It has been designed really well to protect the victims. 

Now the question, will it continue to serve us justice regardless of our status (tempang, buta, miskin, hina,future tak berapa bright dan sebagainya) or was it being designed just to be manipulated by certain people of ranking?
